Just a Camera and a Pile of Leaves

A couple of weeks ago one of my former co-workers contacted me to shoot some photos of her family. She brought along her husband, two children, parents, and two nieces. I had so much fun shooting for this lovely family (and it wouldn’t have been possible without the assistant of my older brother, Trey). The kids loved being in front of camera and come up with some fun poses themselves. They built a pile of leaves and then threw them into the air all while they were laughing hysterically, of course. The wind blew relentlessly creating a chilly day despite the brilliant blue, cloudless sky. I was generally surprised at how cold it actually was, though I don’t believed the kids minded at all. My brother's charming girlfriend (and one of my dear friends) asked my to assist her on a shoot scheduled for this weekend and of course I am more than willing to comply. She has some fantastic ideas and I am very eagar to see how it all turns out.
