New Year, New Bullet Journal

Image
Okay, so this new Bullet Jounral blog might be a tad bit late. I've upgrading to a higher quality journal in 2021 since the two I used last started to pull apart. I decided to go with the Archer and Olive dotted A5 notebook. The one I chose (cover not pictures) is from their Halloween collection and it has cute little bats on the cover. I love it; the pages are 160gsm thick enough for paint! Here's a little walk through of my beginning bullet journal pages. Key and 2021 Cover Page Index Grid Spacing and Quote Page Goals and (blank) Vision Board Future Log (6 months) I printed out these mini calendars and glued them in so I didn't have to write out the individual numbers. I've done that before and it's so tedious and I *always* make a mistake. Bill Tracker and Check This Out (Movies/Shows and Music) Places to Visit This is more of a wish list of places I want to go. Vinyl Want List I've been using this spread for a few years now and it's incredibly handy when

December 2020 Bullet Journal Spreads

Image
Hello December! I don't know about you, but I'm excited to start the last month of 2020. It's been a tough year for everyone and we've finally made it. I don't typically get super into Christmas, but after how hard the past 10 months have been I've decided to make the little things count. I've decked the halls and hung the stockings. Doing anything I can to make it a season full of sweet memories! With that mindset, I decided to make a scrapbook style bullet journal theme. I'd never done a theme using scrap paper before so this was quite a different experience. Without further ado... Overall, this was a fun theme to make and I think it turned out pretty well for a first attempt. I especially love the "Christmas Memories" page to record special moments with the ones I love. I'll be posting a 2021 Bullet Journal set up soon. I'm so excited to show off my new notebook! Be on the look out for that in the next few weeks.

November 2020 Bullet Journal Flip Through

Here's just a quick flip through of my filled in November bullet journal spreads. I wrote a more detailed blog post about the layouts and what I used them for with photos of the blank spreads. This comic book layout was pretty fun, but I'm ready to move on to December's spreads!

November Journal Spreads

I love comic books! It started as a mild interest as a child watching X-Men and Batman cartoons on Fox Kids when I was growing up. Then of course the movies in the the early 2000s kicked it incomic to a hobby. When I started working full-time, I started collecting trade paperbacks. And here we are. It's 2020 and I'm drawing on my interest in comics to create a bullet journal theme.  Now, here's the confession- this isn't my first comic book theme I've created in a journal. I started 2019 with the same idea. I used different spreads and drew-- well, attempted to draw the animated versions of my favorite DC Comics heroines. I didn't like the way it turned out so here's a different approach! I do like this one a lot more.  Let's walk through it! When It comes to my monthly pages, I tend to stick pretty close to the same format.  Cover Page Monthly Calendar and task list Gratitude  Habit Tracker  Weeklies Social Media Tracker  Monthly Review Monthly Calendar

Bullet Journaling

I've always kept a journal since I was in middle school. I found out quite early in life that my words tend to flow easier through writing than through speech. My jumbled thoughts tend to spill out onto a page if I can edit them a little. My journals were full of personal thoughts, song lyrics I related to, doodles and lists. Lots and lots of lists.  Three years ago while browsing Pinterest for journal prompts, I learned about bullet journal method. A style of journaling that combined life planning, lists, and even quotes and doodles. One notebook that could collect all the things that I need to organize my tasks, events, and thoughts? It seemed like a dream.  I tried it out and have never turned back. Even though I've using this method of journaling for several years, I've just recently started to share my methods on an Instagram account I've titled  Bujo_Fiend .  On this blog, I want to include my bullet journal - the layouts and methods of creating them. I'm not

I'm a part of a record label!

I've been collecting vinyl records since 2010. I love holding a record in my hands and looking over the artwork and inserts. I enjoy pulling out a record, placing it on a turntable, and watching the needle drop. The music flowing out on the speakers and filling up the room with analog sounds. I've loved music since I was in middle school. It gave me a place to belong when I felt alone.  I spent many nights of my college years in smoke filled venues watching bands (mostly Christian hardcore and metal) on stage. Dreaming of opening my own music venue and serving touring musicians. I pushed that dream aside to pursue a career as a preschool teacher. It wasn't until I met Micheal through his record label, Resurrected Vinyl, that I was given the opportunity to get involved with the music scene again. He invited me to work along side him at his label. Resurrected Vinyl specializes in pressing rare, hard to find, and out of print Christian punk to vinyl. It's an incredibly nic
